The Drowned Choir

Nell Post comes home to Ashwell-on-the-Water for her mother's funeral, and hears the lake singing. In 1931, the valley's congregation held a final service as the flood took the church, and they have been singing ever since — a hymn missing its final verse. Her mother's last unopened letter says the choir wants it finished.
